During COVID-19, staying healthy mentally is important as we navigate the uncertainty and change of daily life. To help you out during this time, two of our behavioral health experts have teamed up for a video series about keeping mental health top of mind during a pandemic.

Dr. Aimee Drescher, a clinical psychologist, and Dr. Carson Felkel, system medical director, behavioral health, have been focusing their conversations on stress and anxiety brought on specifically by this year’s back-to-school season. In their discussions thus far, they have provided tips on creating a supportive environment at home for kids as well as tips on how to add self-care moments into your daily routine.

In this week’s video, Dr. Drescher and Dr. Felkel continue with their back-to-school theme. They have a personal discussion about making in-person and e-learning decisions in their own families. They also give some great suggestions regarding age-appropriate conversations with your children to explain the importance of following the CDC’s guidelines right now.
