With the growing number of public questions and concerns about COVID-19, there is a need now more than ever to provide individuals with the next best step when it comes to their health. Bon Secours has launched a COVID-19 virtual assistant and online risk assessment tool to help direct people to the COVID-19 resource that is right for their needs.
The role of the COVID-19 virtual assistant is to answer the general public’s questions and connect individuals with our hotline, or one of our clinicians, if needed. The chatbot also helps people assess their own COVID-19 risk using Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines.
“We want to help consumers get where they need to go as quickly as possible. All health systems are being impacted by growing call volumes which is leading to long wait times before people can get their questions answered,” says Morgan Griffith, Vice President of Digital Strategy & Transformation. “Our goal with launching our COVID-19 risk assessment and virtual triage tool is to help guide consumers to the right next step based on their needs, and to make that process as seamless as possible.”
